About

Hi, I’m Jodie Handley. I am a Christian counsellor, based in Northwest Sydney. My practice is primarily online, allowing me to work with clients from any geographical location. For those who prefer in-person sessions, I also offer face-to-face counselling in Glenwood, Northwest Sydney, Blacktown LGA, Hills Shire LGA, Parramatta LGA, as well as other areas of Greater Sydney from Nowra on the South Coast, to Gosford on the Central Coast.

I am deeply passionate about helping clients in their journey of dealing with pain, trauma, grief, and losses in life that may be hindering their ability to live life to the full. I can offer you a safe, compassionate, nonjudgemental space to share what is most important to you. Together, I look forward to journeying with you as we unpack areas of life that may be hindering you from living the life you want to lead. I use a person-centred, integrative approach, incorporating modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Whether you’re looking for support in navigating life’s challenges or seeking guidance to find renewed purpose and hope, I am here to walk with you on your journey to healing and growth.

I am married with two adult children and three stepchildren. I have a background in Secondary Education, working as a classroom teacher for many years before moving into Counselling.

I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

FAQ

What should I expect during a session?

Sessions run for about 50 minutes. Sessions are client-focused which means we will talk about the issues you want to talk about. My aim is to help you feel safe and comfortable, enabling you to share what is important to you. You will be shown respect, understanding and empathy as we work together to seek the restoration, freedom, and hope you desire for your life.

How much does each session cost?

The cost of each online session is $100. In-person sessions are $125 to cover Room Hire fees.

This is payable on the day of your session by direct debit (online sessions) or alternatively by cash (in-person sessions).

Can I claim a Medicare rebate if I have a Mental Health Care Plan?

Unfortunately, Mental Health Care Plans cannot be applied to my counselling services, as counsellors are not included as providers in the MHCP Medicare rebate package.

How do I book a session?
